Orange County Polocrosse

Welcome!

The Orange County Polocrosse Club (OCPC) is a family-oriented group of polocrosse enthusiasts in central North Carolina.

The club was founded in 2005 by David and Leslie Brooks and currently has over 20 members. Although the club is based at Crooked Creek Farm in Orange County, North Carolina many of our members live in other regions in North Carolina and some surrounding states. The club is an inclusive and diverse group and includes players of all skill levels, ages, experience and fitness levels. Some of our members compete in regional, national and international events while others play purely for recreation and exercise.

Polocrosse is a sport played on horseback that combines elements of polo and lacrosse. The players use racquets to catch, carry and throw the ball and attempt to score by shooting the ball through the opposing team’s goalposts. More information about the rules and history of the game can be found at the American Polocrosse Association web site.

The Orange County Polocrosse Club always welcomes new members. No experience is necessary... lessons, rental horses and loaner equipment are available if needed. If you are interested in learning more or joining the club please contact us or visit one of our events or practices.
